Greg Hill is a Senior Advisor at The Chertoff Group, where he advises clients on both strategic growth and business development opportunities, and how to best identify threats, reduce vulnerabilities, and protect their most critical assets, both domestically and internationally.

Prior to joining The Chertoff Group, Mr. Hill spent more than a decade in public service in both the legislative and executive branches. Most recently, he served as the Majority Chief of Staff for the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security where he managed congressional oversight for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the third largest federal department with an annual budget of $60 billion. He worked with the Committee’s 32 Members of Congress and 75 Professional Staff to hold oversight hearings and craft legislation for issues relating to border and maritime security; counterterrorism and intelligence; cybersecurity; critical energy infrastructure protection and security technologies; emergency preparedness, response and communications; and transportation security.

Previously, Mr. Hill worked in senior executive positions in The Hartford Insurance Group, Merrill Lynch International Private Client Group, Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse) S.A., and HSBC, helping to evaluate new business opportunities, create global strategic alliances and promote new technology platforms involving integrated banking and investing services.
