The Chertoff Group developed and implemented a full-scale review of the security and vulnerability of an International Mining Firm with operations in Middle East & North Africa.
This international mining firm with disparate mining and processing operations requested assistance in assessing and making strategic and tactical recommendations to enhance its security architecture. The firm also sought to develop a crisis response and recovery plan as well as a strategy for mitigating global, reputational, and operational risks.
The Chertoff Group conducted a complete assessment of the firm’s security and offered recommendations on IT and network and information security; end-to-end mining operations; incident reporting forms and mechanisms; indicator thresholds for escalation alerts; performance monitoring methods; and contingency plans for identified sites in the firm’s mining operations.
The Chertoff Group provided the firm with an executive-level security prioritization plan based on its assessment, as well as a highly sensitive threat assessment that identified known and perceived threats to the firm's operations. We also assisted with the development and maintenance of executive protection programs and plans for continuity of operations for all-hazards.
The firm engaged The Chertoff Group to assist in the implementation of an overall security architecture based on its recommendations. The Chertoff Group is accomplishing this by aligning security-related investments, other security consulting projects, and the firm’s strategic security objectives to maximize efficiency and efficacy across the international enterprise.
The Chertoff Group brings deep experience in the coordination of security and response efforts around public events & critical infrastructure, including integration of data & threat streams, coordinated communications plans, and command & control operations centers.
